Might investigate Ash Creek Reservoir. The wilderness is surrounded by private properties on three sides and by the Zion National Park on the fourth. Camping is permitted in designated campsites, but not in pullouts or parking lots. This is a high elevation location. Kolob Terrace Road is located in between Zion Canyon and Kolob Canyon in the town of Virgin. Kolob may be the little known portion of Zion National Park but that doesn't mean it is not as spectacular as the main canyons of Zion proper. The first was near Kolob Canyon entrance, which was closer to the park and more isolated, but had no cell service. It's about 12 miles to Zion from there. The campground is just a 10-minute walk from Zion National Park’s pedestrian entrance. There are two main areas for dispersed camping near Zion.
